Igloo Debuts a Very Cool Collection of Coolers Inspired by The Grateful Dead

September 22, 2020

(Katy, Texas) Today, Igloo and Grateful Dead, in partnership with Warner Music Artist Services, released a new, special-edition collection of Playmate coolers, backpack coolers and stainless steel tumblers inspired by the legendary band the Grateful Dead. Each product in the lineup features a fresh take on iconic album artwork—from the famous dancing bears to the Steal Your Face design—showcasing a piece or rock ‘n’ roll history. The Igloo x Grateful Dead Collection is available now (while supplies last) at igloocoolers.com/gratefuldead.

“It has been a really fun experience collaborating with Grateful Dead.  By expanding our offering from a range of Playmates to new backpacks and reusable drinkware—we’re excited to now have something for every Grateful Dead fan,” said Brian Garofalow, Chief Marketing Officer at Igloo. “Our head designer thought the collection could use a little touch of grey, but I think they turned out perfect.”

Igloo is honoring the Grateful Dead’s legacy through new Playmate Classic coolers, Daytripper Backpacks and 16-ounce Stainless Steel Can Tumblers. Each product—made to keep drinks and/or snacks cold— features one of two designs made famous by the Grateful Dead’s album artwork: A colorful tie-dye print with dancing bears and the Steal Your Face lightning bolt on a skull symbol.

The new product offering expands on the existing relationship with Igloo and Grateful Dead. In April 2020, Igloo and Grateful Dead released a limited-edition Playmate cooler and donated 100% of the profits to the CDC Foundation Coronavirus Response Fund which secured and distributed PPE to our nation’s healthcare workers in urgent need locations.  Igloo and Grateful Dead are proud to support the fight against COVID-19 with the help of their community of fans.

The all-new Igloo x Grateful Dead Collection, each product sold separately, is available now from $19.99 to $64.99, while supplies last.
